Step-by-step instructions for all three installation methods, on both iPhone and Android. Use whichever method your device supports. Automatic is easiest when available, QR Code works well when installing from a second device, and Manual is the fallback for everything else. Before you start: Use Wi-Fi, not mobile data, while installing your eSIM. Make sure your device is unlocked and eSIM-compatible. iPhone Option1:Automatic Installation - Recommended for Applications only. Fastest option - available on iOS 17.4+. Choose eSIM for Data Only, keep you default SIM card for Voice Line Open the installed eSIM - go to Settings > Mobile Service and tap your new line (e.g. "Travel"). Make sure Data Roaming is ON - scroll down on that line's settings and switch Data Roaming on. Wait a few minutes before the eSIM connects to the network. Open your eSIM settings - go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM. Scan the QR code shown in the app with your camera. Trigger activation - tap Activate when your iPhone asks to activate the eSIM. Get your activation details - in the app, open the Manual tab to view your SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code (tap Copy Details, or Continue to Settings to jump straight there). Go to Settings on your iPhone and tap Mobile Service. Add eSIM manually - tap Add eSIM. Start manual installation - tap Use QR Code on the "Set Up eSIM" screen, then Scan QR Code on the next screen. Switch to manual entry - on the camera screen, tap Enter Details Manually at the bottom (you don't need an actual QR code here). Enter your activation details - enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code from Step 1. Leave the Confirmation Code field empty, then tap Next. Start manual installation - tap Set up eSIM (not "transfer from another phone"). Wait while your device checks network information - a quick automatic step. Switch to manual entry - on the QR-scanning screen, tap Enter activation code instead of scanning. Enter your activation details - paste (don't retype) the activation code from Step 1, then continue. Start eSIM activation - tap Set Up. Wait for the eSIM to install - "Setting up eSIM…" Go to Settings to finish. Turn on the eSIM in SIM & eSIM settings, then tap the row.
