As a result, the world fragmented into factions, each with its own ideology on how to deal with this new reality. Some seek to restore the natural order at any cost. Others believe this state of affairs is a form of evolution or a blessing, but now struggle to control the relentless threat posed by the soulless. Still others seek a way to coexist with or even control the soulless, viewing them as a resource rather than an abomination.
