Horn & Dice is a roguelike where your dice are your deck. You start with a few plain dice and rebuild them face by face as you travel through three acts of Slavic folklore. How a turn worksRoll all your dice, lock the faces you want, and reroll the rest. Rerolls are limited, so every one is a decision.Stronger faces need copies to fire. A Heavy Attack needs two of a kind, a Crushing Attack needs three. A flame behind each die shows whether its set is complete, still missing a copy, or has one to spare. When you’re happy with the roll, end your turn and see what the enemy does. Its intent is always shown, so you can plan around it.How you buildWin fights to earn new faces and swap them onto your dice.Spend Sacred Cinders at the Forge so your best faces come up more often.Pick up artifacts that change the rules, and potions for when a roll goes wrong. The worldEvery enemy comes from Slavic folk belief, from the Domovoy guarding a house to Baba Yaga in her mortar and the many-headed Azhdaya. The mystery events come from the same stories: offerings to Chernobog, the Kupala fire, deals with a witch-herbalist. Somewhere ahead, someone keeps blowing a horn, and an old man called the Seer may know why. What’s in the game3 acts, with 2 possible bosses in each35 enemies, each with its own way of fighting32 die faces, 23 artifacts and 30 potions and other consumables15 status effects, such as Burning, Fragile, Hexed and Oakskin20 mystery events4 starting classes, each with its own dice13 ascension levels for when the base game gets easy
